Health Tips for Busy Executives - At the Office

Build Healthy Relationships at Work While Promoting Better Health and Well-being.

Office Visit.
Don't call people who work in your office area - go see them.  It burns calories, and face to face meetings are always more productive.  And your visibility around the office won't hurt you either!

Action Item.
Put fitness on the agenda.  Literally.  Schedule fitness activities into meetings, after work get togethers, weekend activities, etc.  Good Health = Greater Productivity.

Hide a Smile in Your Drawer.
Keep floss and toothbrush toothpaste at the office. If you clean your teeth after lunch, you will be less likely to snack, you will protect your teeth and maybe most importantly, you won't offend your colleagues at that 3 p.m. meeting.

Be the Founder.
Start a sports team or club at the office.

Raise Your Hand.
Take stretch breaks during meetings.  Put them into the agenda.

Have a "Walking" Meeting.
Get your colleague out of the office and discuss business while taking a walk instead of locking yourself in a stuffy conference room.  The fresh air will be good for your health and the change in environment will be good for your creative energy.

Be a Leader.
Take the lead in making health an important part of your company's corporate culture.  Work with HR on healthful activities: health day, healthful food options at the cafeteria, contests, clubs, etc.
